The project “testing*” was born from the desire to experiment using different media and software, combining opposing imaginaries. Surreal, minimal, and dreamlike images are contrasted with a digital, abrupt rhythm and editing. The result is a hybrid mix, born from all the errors and inaccuracies typical of the digital era and its automation. In fact, images created with artificial intelligence and edited to rhythm through an audio-threshold system in TouchDesigner show how new experimental tools require meticulous attention, separate from the sense or “life” of the final product. Testing* aims to be nothing more than personal expression, meaningless, just dogs eating to the rhythm.
